๐Ÿ”— Makro Marketplace API integration

Makro Marketplace integration that lists your products, then runs every channel from one place

Wherehouse uses the Makro Marketplace API to retrieve your seller data securely, create listings that go straight to QC, and keep Makro in step with Takealot, your store, your ERP and your accounting.

This is turnkey. We connect the systems you already run. You do not live in seller.makro, and you do not rebuild a loadsheet every time the range changes.

A second marketplace should mean more sales, not a second job.

Makro Marketplace is extra volume next to Takealot. Without a proper Makro Marketplace integration it is extra portals, extra stock files, extra loadsheets, and no real view of COGS. Syncing two seller dashboards still leaves listing creation, your ERP and your books as someone elseโ€™s problem.

More than a marketplace-to-marketplace sync

What this Makro Marketplace integration includes

๐Ÿš€ Create listings, send to QC

We take the range you already have, reshape it for Makro, and submit it. Choose QC and we create the draft then promote it in-app. No loadsheet.

๐Ÿ”„ Keep stock and price synced

The same catalogue that drives Takealot can drive Makro. Stock updates so you do not oversell. Price can follow your rules, or the Buy Box repricer.

๐Ÿ›’ Pull every Makro order

New, shipped, delivered, cancelled and returned orders land in your store or ERP. Fulfilment sees the order. You do not recapture it.

๐Ÿ’ธ See COGS, not just revenue

Cost prices plus Makro commission and fulfilment, per order and per SKU. Optional push into Xero or QuickBooks so the books match the payout.

๐Ÿ”— Talk to systems you already have

ERP, online store, accounting, 3PL. Wherehouse is the layer between Makro and the tools you already pay for, not another place to retype stock.

๐Ÿ“ฆ Consolidate every marketplace

Makro, Takealot, Amazon, Leroy Merlin, Loot, Bobshop and your own store share one picture. One stock figure. One order flow. Your rules per channel.

How we use the Makro Marketplace API

Wherehouse talks to Makro through the seller API. We retrieve listings, stock, orders and fees over a dedicated, authenticated session. You are not exporting CSVs, and you are not pasting catalogue data into seller.makro by hand.

Dedicated seller user

You add a Wherehouse Admin user on your Makro seller profile. Syncing uses that account, not a shared personal login.

OTP-backed session

Login is verified with an emailed one-time PIN. The session stays with Wherehouse so retrieval and updates stay authenticated.

Retrieve, then write back

We pull what Makro already knows, then push new listings, stock, prices and listing state. Orders and fees come back in so the rest of your stack can use them.

Turnkey, not a DIY connector kit

How we get you live on Makro

01

Tell us what you run

Makro seller account, plus the store, ERP or sheet that holds the truth. We map the stack before anything syncs.

02

Connect the Makro API

You add the Wherehouse Admin user and confirm the OTP. We retrieve what is already live and prove a couple of test orders.

03

List, then send to QC

Pick the range. We enrich it for Makro, submit it, and promote drafts to QC inside Wherehouse. Existing pages get an offer, not a duplicate.

04

Stay in step

Stock, price, orders, fees and COGS keep moving in the background, across Makro and every other channel you connect.

A person on your account, not a dump of history

A dedicated account manager sets the Makro Marketplace integration up with you. We ingest your catalogue and sync a couple of test orders first. Nothing automatic goes through until those are right. No setup fees. You only pay once the account is live.

Most โ€œMakro integrationsโ€ only move offers you already have. Wherehouse creates the listing from the catalogue you already maintain (ERP, store or sheet), fills the gaps Makro QC expects, and submits it. If the product already exists on Makro, we latch your offer onto that page instead of cloning it. See Makro product listing .

Makro is the marketplace where draft and QC both happen in Wherehouse

Choose Submit to QC and we create the draft, then promote it. You can also send a draft to QC later, without opening seller.makro.

Once a listing is live, stock and selling price stay current from the system of truth you already run. Stock can push per pickup location. Pricing rules can differ from Takealot. If the Makro Buy Box repricer is on, it owns price so a sync does not overwrite a winning offer.

Orders placed on Makro land in your store, ERP or warehouse system automatically. Pending, in-transit, delivered, cancelled and returned all come through, so picks and the books are not stuck on a stale status. No retyping, no missed picks.

Add cost prices (from your ERP, a feed or a sheet) and we show net profit after COGS plus Makro commission and fulfilment, not sticker revenue. Those fee lines can ride with the order into Xero or QuickBooks, so invoices are not booked at full price. See actual marketplace profit .

Deep connections to the systems you already have

A Makro Marketplace API connection is only useful if it talks to the rest of your stack. Wherehouse sits between Makro and the ERP, store, accounting and fulfilment tools you already pay for.

Takealot
Makro
Amazon
Leroy Merlin
Shopify
WooCommerce
Cin7 Core
Unleashed
Xero
Quickbooks Online
Loot
Bobshop
50+ more

Also Magento, Zoho, Vend, IQ Retail, Parcelninja and more. If you run it, we probably talk to it.

Consolidate every marketplace, not just Makro

The point of a Makro Marketplace integration is not a prettier Makro dashboard. It is one catalogue, one stock figure and one order flow across the channels you already sell on.

Marketplaces

Takealot, Makro, Amazon, Leroy Merlin, Loot and Bobshop on the same catalogue.

Your store

Shopify, WooCommerce and the rest can be the source of truth, or just another shelf.

ERP and inventory

Cin7, Unleashed and similar stay in charge of stock. Marketplaces follow.

Accounting

Xero and QuickBooks get the order, the fees and the credit notes. Not a second spreadsheet.

What we are honest about

  • โœ“ Makro QC is theirs. Timing and approvals sit with Makro. We control the quality of what we submit, and listings that arrive in their preferred shape clear faster.
  • โœ“ Auto listing is best-effort. Thin source data gets filled with AI where we can. Most sellers see a 90%+ first-pass success rate. A marketplace can still reject a listing.
  • โœ“ Makro commission and fulfilment fees can lag the order by a bit. The downstream picture (margin and accounting) is the same once they arrive.
  • โœ“ We pull Makro orders into your stack. We do not push orders or fulfilment write-back into Makro.

Built as the system of record between you and Makro

Connect once. We use the Makro Marketplace API to retrieve what is already live, list what is missing, keep stock honest, pull orders, and show COGS after fees. The same Wherehouse account can do that for Takealot, Amazon, Leroy Merlin and your store.

For a lot of sellers already on Takealot, Makro unlocks 15 to 30% extra revenue when price and stock are actually competing, without hiring another ops person.
